The Tidewater Government/Industry Council (TGIC) is a council of Government and Industry Representatives organized to provide effective avenues of communication, cooperation and consultation among numerous government activities and private industry in Hampton Roads.

Together, the TASC and the TGIC sponsor an exchange briefing program.

TASC would like to thank Mr. Chris Miller for an outstanding brief on SPAWAR Atlantic at the April Luncheon.
The SPAWAR Atlantic Contracts office held an Industry Outreach session following the luncheon. The following topics were covered:
SPAWAR Atlantic Contracts Strategy and status of Contracts Competency - Mr. William Paggi
SPAWAR Atlantic Contract Portfolio Update - Audrey Orvin
SPAWAR Atlantic Small Business Discussion - Ms. Robin Rourk
Mr. Andy Jackson of CSC took Mr. Miller's plea for interest and action in STEM programs. Mr. Jackson won the 50/50 drawing and donated the proceeds to TASC for use in the Tidewater Science Fair. Thank you Mr. Jackson.

Annual Membership Meeting and Elections
The Tidewater Association of Service Contractors (TASC) Annual Meeting was held on Wednesday March 21, 2012 at the Norfolk Airport Hilton.

    The following Officers/Directors were elected:

  • Secretary - Joan Grippo
  • Treasurer - Eileen Gwaltney
    The following TGIC Industry Representative positions were elected:
