REVERSE INDUSTRY DAY: "What Is Industry Doing and What Can Industry Learn and Contribute During Government Market Research and Acquisition Planning Activities"

  • 30 Jan 2019
  • 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM
  • ODU Darden College of Education, 4301 Hampton Boulevard, Room 1106

Reverse Industry Day

This event is focused on assisting smooth communication between Government and Industry to produce a greater understanding of the respective actions and responsibilities throughout the Acquisition Timeline.

The costs and acquisition delays associated with bid protests are well documented.  Yet, despite policies and Myth Buster memorandums, the problem of communication early in acquisitions persists, often manifest in Bid Protests later. While many industry acquisition personnel have experience in Government acquisition, the reverse is less common, creating a gap that may lead to misunderstanding of intents and goals, with industry misinterpreting signaling or intent.
