What: TASC/TGIC Training: Artificial Intelligence Series: Building AI-Ready Employees
A Practical Introduction to Generative AI, Hallucination Awareness, and Better Prompting for SMB Success
Artificial Intelligence is no longer a tool reserved for large corporations. Small and medium-size contractors can now use generative AI to improve productivity, decision-making, communication, and customer service. However, to benefit from AI safely and responsibly, employees need a clear understanding of how these tools work, where their limits are, and how to use them effectively.
In this session, Dr. Rafael Diaz will provide an easy-to-understand introduction to generative AI, including how it produces responses, why errors or “hallucinations” occur, and what practical steps employees can take to verify information before relying on it. The session will also introduce simple, actionable techniques for prompt design and context engineering that help AI deliver more accurate, business-ready results.
Participants will leave with practical strategies they can use immediately in their daily work—regardless of their technical background.
Topics will include:
1. How Generative AI Works (Plain Language)
2. Understanding Hallucinations
3. Practical Ways to Reduce Errors
4. Prompt and Context Engineering for Better Results
