TGIC Exchange Brief

Cyber Security Update

Each significant data breach or cyber incident and responding legislative and regulatory initiatives confirm that cyber and data security will continue to dominate the federal contracting arena. TGIC is pleased to present this Exchange Brief to bring together perspectives from industry and government to discuss how cybersecurity, supply chain risk management, and data rights are shaping the competitive landscape for federal prime contracts and subcontracts.  Panel presentations will provide insights and strategies into the following areas:

  1. Choosing a cybersecurity strategy: Rising above tactical operations and setting up a strategy from the top down (goals, strategic, risk, communication plan, business continuity, etc.)
  2. How cybersecurity is impacting award decisions and teaming for federal contracts:  Understanding the responsibilities as either prime or subcontractor.
  3. Data and Software Rights:  How software and data rights fit into cyber challenges and what is the latest on protecting your data through compliance.
  4. Securing the Supply Chain:  DoD’s new certification model to streamline DoD’s cybersecurity acquisition processes.
  5. The Next Business System?:  Under Secretary of Defense Ellen Lord has directed DCMA to validate contractor compliance, specifically CPSR’s.
  6. Risk of Non-Compliance: How does the lack of compliance impede your businesses success.
