The NavalX Mid Atlantic Tech Bridge (MATB) Industry Day will be held (virtually) on May 6, 2021. This event will provide an excellent opportunity to increase Industry knowledge of ways to collaborate with the MATB, Naval X, and the greater Naval Research and Development Establishment. The MATB is led by four Hampton Roads-based U.S. Navy organizations, including Second Fleet, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Carderock Norfolk Detachment, NSWC Dahlgren Dam Neck Activity, and Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Hampton Roads Detachment. Each Command will provide a brief overview of the organization with a focus on Science and Technology goals and opportunities. The MATB’s existing regional partners, including the 757 CoLab and Gangplank, VA, will also participate.  Hampton Roads Industry partners will have an opportunity to gain insight into the MATB and partners, Naval acquisition process and small business opportunities, requirements, partnership opportunities (e.g., Partnership Intermediary Agreements, Cooperative Research and Development Agreements etc.) and provide an opportunity to engage directly with leadership from all four Commands.

Tentative Agenda

  • Brief introduction from Commander, Second Fleet
  • Mid Atlantic Tech Bridge overview
  • NSWC Carderock
  • NSWC Dahlgren
